Jan. 10--MASON -- Mason City Schools plans to build a $5 million, three-story health and wellness center on the campus of Mason Middle School through a partnership with Middletown Regional Hospital.

With approval of the agreement Tuesday, the school district will finance the project by subleasing the third floor of the facility to Middletown Regional Hospital and granting Middletown Regional naming rights, said school spokeswoman Tracey Carson.
