Jan. 6--MUMBAI, India -- Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust (JNPT), which handles nearly 60 percent of total containers handled by all major ports in India, is fast gearing up to meet the challenges of handling a billion tonne of cargo by the end of the next 5-year plan which begins in mid-2007.
