If you suffer from hay fever, hang onto your hankie.
``This is the peak of the ragweed season,'' said Dr. Scott Osur of Certified Allergy Consultants in Albany. ``This should be the week with the highest counts.''
A wet spring is the culprit for a flourishing crop of ragweed that is prompting more sneezing, sniffling and itching than usual this time of year. Already, total ragweed counts are at 630, surpassing the total for the entire 1997 season.
