DARREN FAY admits he had retired for good before being coaxed back into the Royal fold by Colm Coyle.

The towering full-back made his long-awaited Meath comeback in Drogheda yesterday -- an extra-time defeat to Louth in the O'Byrne Cup -- and afterwards pronounced himself delighted to be back.
