ALBANY Vanquished Democratic primary candidate Ruth Klepper has decided to remain an active candidate in the general election on the Liberal Party line, earning criticism from Democratic state Senate nominee James McCaffrey and county Democratic Chairman Leonard Weiss.
``This is supposed to be the year of the upset and maybe this will be an upset,'' said Klepper, who plans to take part in debates with McCaffrey and Republican Michael J. Hoblock Jr.
