Richard Dwyer, the ice skating world's "Mr. Debonair" for the last 41 years, believes he knows the secret to his sport's popularity.
"Ice skating represents beauty and glamour," said Dwyer, the longtime star of the Ice Follies and now a featured performer of the Ice Capades. "There's something for everybody in it."
America loves skating. And skaters like Dwyer have proved the point. Since the first professional blade-runner charged admission more than 50 years ago, audiences have turned out in large numbers.
