WITH GERMAN young people losing interest in traditional subjects, a literary foundation came up with the idea of creating a comic book to spark interest in the Nazi era. The result, the "Hitler" comic book, written by Friedemann Bedurftig, with drawings by Dieter Kalenbach, has ignited a controversy in a country troubled by the activities of Adolf Hitler's latter-day followers. Critics fear that the 200-page book, which includes pictures of Nazi soldiers proudly hoisting swastika-emblazoned flags, will play into the hands of neo-Nazis who still look up to the Fuhrer.
