Norman assistant principal selected for statewide honor.

Dec. 29--A Norman school administrator has been named the state's outstanding assistant principal by the Oklahoma Association of Secondary School Principals.

Holly Swanson, assistant principal at Norman High School, will compete for $5,000 and the title of National Assistant Principal of the Year.

Norman High School Principal Lynne Chesley recommended Swanson for the award, citing her influence and communication with students and her work to help freshmen make the transition into high school.
