NEIL LENNON must have been overcome by Christmas spirit yesterday when he praised referee Kenny Clark for admitting he should have given the Celtic skipper a penalty at Ibrox.

But there wasn't as much goodwill extended to the other officials at last weekend's Old Firm game.

All joking aside, Lennon did seem to have the utmost respect for Clark's decision to put his hands up and say he was wrong, that it had, in fact, been a penalty when Rangers' Stevie Smith hacked down the midfielder at the end of the first half.
