E ven without bulging muscles, tattoos promising Biblical retribution and sinister, manipulating ways, actor Robert De Niro apparently can be pretty persuasive.
It is De Niro's caginess in his role as an ex-convict - stalking, waiting, cajoling - that brings much of the tension to the psychological thriller "Cape Fear."
It was also his persistent goading that persauded director Martin Scorsese to work on the dark thriller, which at one point was on the menu of Steven Spielberg. Spielberg's Amblin Entertainment ...
