Charlie Gamble expects to be at a lot of Southern Guilford baseball games this spring. But he won't be coaching.

That's because it's hard to stay away from the diamond when you've been coaching the team for 22 years. Gamble will retire from teaching at the end of the month, and longtime assistant Jeff Carter will take over as head baseball coach.
