The EU Court of First Instance annulled on 12 December a European Commission decision concerning tax benefits given to Spanish agricultural cooperatives.

The Court said that the Commission had not given "clear or sufficient reasons" why the tax perks in question were not state aid and therefore annulled the Commission's December 2002 decision (Case T-146/03).
