Dec. 10--Keith Nichol visited Oklahoma simply seeking something to compare.

Long committed to Michigan State, a 57-mile drive from his Lowell, Mich., home, Nichol only considered looking around after Spartans coach John L. Smith was fired.

Once at OU, however, Nichol realized that for him, little could compare.

So before he left campus, Nichol committed to Bob Stoops and contributed a compelling addition to the Sooners' already great debate for 2007: Who's next at quarterback?
