Dec. 7--Oklahoma celebrated another alternative fuels first on Wednesday when Spaceport Fuel was dedicated as the state's inaugural ethanol plant. The facility at the Oklahoma Space Industry Development Authority in Burns Flat is designed to convert grain sorghum and corn into up to 5,000 gallons per day of ethanol. "This represents a lot of work and a lot of money," Spaceport Fuel co-owner Rannie Dean said. "It's important to keep money here instead of sending it offshore."
