The American Political Assn.'s Education Committee has prepared guidelines for teacher training and recommendations on the certification of teachers of government, politics, social studies and civics in secondary and elementary school. These guidelines, which were developed in cooperation with members of political science and education faculties, will be used by organizations tasked with curriculum planning and the training and certification of teachers.
