National Geographic's success on the Web certainly proves the maxim "content is king." An organization that's never had a chief marketing officer, National Geographic has eight of the 10 most popular non-fiction videos on iTunes, including the "Most Amazing" video at number one. Its "World Music" service has proven popular as well--yes, a National Geographic online music service. With music from over 100 genres, it provides links to purchase albums and tracks from "indigenous artists" and offers editorial, video, maps and photos.
