Nov. 17--Two Vinton churches have new elm trees as part of a Daughters of the American Revolution conservation project.

Planting historical and native trees, especially elms, is a national DAR conservation project, said Lee Woody, vice regent of the Roanoke Valley Chapter of the DAR.
