To the Editor:

I would like to correct a misprint that appeared in the letter of Trudi Vesko on Nov. 16.

One of the languages presently spoken in the region of Tyrol is Ladin, not Latin. Ladin is a Rhaeto-Romance language. Its origins go back to the Roman Empire and the conquest of Rhaetia, the region where the present Tyrol stands, by Druso, a Roman general in 15 B.C.
