Police confirmed six dead in Nukualofa riots.

17 NOVEMBER 2006 NUKUALOFA (Pacnews) - Police in Tonga have confirmed at least six people were killed during the riots in the capital Nuku'alofa yesterday.

Radio and TV Tonga reports that police discovered six bodies this afternoon amongst the pile of burnt debris of the headquarters of Shoreline and Tonfon companies along Taufa'ahau road in Nukualofa.

They're believed to be the first known casualty of last night's violence and inferno in the national capital.
