Main line FBF update: CSXT has had excellent results since installing a main line flange-bearing frog.

On July 31, CSX Transportation installed the first main line flange-bearing frog diamond. This crossing diamond, which allows regular speeds on both tracks, was installed at the CSXT crossing with the Ashland Railway at Shelby, Ohio, on CSXT between Cleveland and Columbus. CSXT speeds at this point on the line are 40 mph. Service experience has been excellent since the installation.
