Jun. 10--Frank Santoro coughed for days. By the time a doctor diagnosed the cough as a symptom of pneumonia, it was too late for Santoro to buy the prescribed antibiotices at a drugstore.

"I got out at almost midnight and nobody was open," said the Mattydale resident, as he waited at Fay's drugstore to get his prescription filled.

If Santoro needs his prescription refilled Sunday night, he'll find a drugstore open, regardless of the hour.

Fay's Inc. said Thursday it will begin operating its first 24-hour pharmacy in the Syracuse area at its store in the Mattydale Shopping ...
