FORE SYSTEMS ANNOUNCES AVA-200 ATM VIDEO ADAPTER

    PITTSBURGH, June 13 /PRNewswire/ -- FORE Systems (Nasdaq: FORE) today announced the availability of new video products for ATM local and wide area networks, the AVA-200 ATM Video Adapter and accompanying AVA Real-Time Display Software.  The AVA-200 is designed for point-to-multipoint video broadcasting (e.g. CNN to the desktop).  In conjunction with FORE Systems ForeRunner ATM switches' Intelligent Multicast capability, video can now be multicast to a virtually unlimited number of ATM-connected desktops.
