Nov. 13--FREDERICK -- With a board of new county commissioners, most of whom ran on a platform of controlled growth, set to take control within a couple of months, Frederick County's building and real estate community is wary.

Terre Rhoderick, a former county commissioner and the current president of the Frederick County Builders Association, said he's not sure the county can afford a rapid slowdown of residential development.
