Nov. 10--Schnitzel, spaetzle, and strudel were served up by the Toledo Symphony last night in the first of its Classics III weekend set.
Stefan Sanderling and the orchestra cut a big slice of 19th century German romanticism with works by Carl Maria von Weber, Felix Mendelssohn, and Robert Schumann.
Though it was presented with flourish, one has to wonder about the timing of such a program.
