Nov. 10--Just about anywhere you travel in South Carolina, you'll be near an historical American Indian site. The people here before the Europeans paddled every waterway, walked every ridge line, trapped in every hollow.
Unfortunately, many of the tangible remains of their culture were obliterated as rivers were dammed, forests timbered and ceremonial gathering spots covered by the asphalt and concrete of cities.
