Alcoa's Hungary operation ships first order of turbine airfoils.(Around the World)

Alcoa, Cleveland, announced that its operation in Szekesfehervar, Hungary, has shipped its first order of turbine airfoils.

According to Laszlo Veres, director of manufacturing in Europe/Asia for Alcoa Howmet, the first shipment follows a modernization project at the Alcoa-Kofem facility. The project included a new airfoil manufacturing operation to support Alcoa Howmet's jet aircraft and industrial gas turbine business in Europe.
