Nov. 2--THE SIERRA MADRE OF MEXICO -- homeland of the Tarahumara people and the setting for a classic movie about lost treasure -- is the focus of a literary and benefit event Sunday.

The event, called "An Afternoon in the Sierra Madre," will benefit the nonprofit Native Seeds/SEARCH of Tucson. The group's work includes providing seeds and agricultural expertise to communities in the rugged mountains and canyons of the Sierra Madre. SEARCH stands for the Southwestern Endangered Arid-Lands Resources Clearing House.
