Nov. 2--Foreign airlines will increase the number of flights to Israel by 20 percent this winter, compared with last winter. Seat availability is expected to rise by 22 percent, says Ministry of Transport director general Gideon Siterman. The Israel Civil Aviation Administration granted permits for additional flights, mostly before the second Lebanon war, to ten airlines, including Air France, Delta Air Lines and Hapag-Lloyd Flug GmbH (HapagFly).
