College football's format makes every game meaningful.
|
Byline: Tim Cowlishaw
DALLAS _ The winner of Thursday's West Virginia-Louisville game may be in line for an appearance in the national championship game in Arizona. At least that's what Big East fans are hoping.
This falls clearly under the heading of "Be Careful What You Wish For,'' because no one is beating Ohio State this year, although that's not the main point of today's essay.
An unbeaten West Virginia or Louisville team or a one-loss SEC team such as Florida or Auburn or perhaps even a one-loss Southern Cal team may have chances to get into the BCS title game.
