Safmarine of South Africa purchased the CMB Plantin, a 1,400 20-foot equivalent unit fully cellular container ship which has been renamed the Nolizwe. It will be used on the Southern Africa-Mediterranean trade route. In related news, Safmarine's partner Lykes Lines also purchased the Charles Lykes, a container-friendly, multi-purpose vessel which will serve on the Southern Africa-Americas trade route.
