We discuss a recently predicted mechanism whereby energy is produced by the background space non-holonomic field (the global space rotation) in Thomson dispersion of light in free electrons. We compare the mechanism to the relations of observational astrophysics--the mass-luminosity relation and the stellar energy relation.
