Norwegian telecommunications group Telenor ASA (Nasdaq: TELN) announced on Thursday (26 October) that it has signed a definitive agreement to sell its unit Telenor Satellite Services to funds managed by the private equity group Apax Partners.

Apax Partners is paying NOK2.64bn in cash for the operations, which will result in a gain of approximately NOK1.4bn for Telenor.
