Oct. 25--It could be argued that Air Deccan's fares have increased six times in the three years since its inception -- which might seem remarkably inflationary for a low cost airline. Except that Air Deccan's tickets started off at Re 1 and now cost Rs 6, add taxes and other expenses and the price comes to Rs 1,000; still the sort of offer that grabs attention.
