It has been a year since people around the world witnessed the devastation known as Katrina. As the anniversary of the hurricane draws closer, a number of news programs will highlight the strength and resilience of the residents of a city that some predicted would never return. Even though many of the neighborhoods around New Orleans have yet to receive the resources needed to rebuild, the downtown city of New Orleans has reclaimed its reputation as a tourist destination.
