CHARLESTON - An aging, barbed-wire-topped fence stops visitors to the Cape Arago Lighthouse from getting anywhere near the 44-foot tower by car. The bridge that once carried vehicles to the islet just off Gregory Point is no longer safe for vehicle traffic.
