The SAMPE board of Directors has selected Jon B. DeVault, President of DeVault and Associates, for the George Lubin Memorial Award for his contribution to the materials and processing industry. DeVault will receive the award at SAMPE's Fall Technical Conference, to be held 6-9 November in Dallas, Texas, USA.

While employed at Hercules Inc, USA, where he worked from 1962 till 1992, DeVault led the expansion of carbon fibre production and championed efforts to significantly reduce the cost of the material.

He is also credited with introducing the first production line ...
