Oct. 8--Meet the Degas you never knew. Instead of portraits of dancers and nudes, an exhibit opening Friday at the Columbus Museum of Art will focus on landscapes by the celebrated French impressionist.

And while working in the usual realm of impressionism, Degas also seems to anticipate the 20 th-century styles of cubism and abstraction in the 34 paintings and prints in "Edgar Degas: The Last Landscapes."
