Hoarders of art, cars, wine and other valuables can now buy a hurricane-proof space to keep their belongings safe.

"There is a new generation of affluent storage users who are concerned about protecting their valuables from theft and vandalism, as well as from the ravages of nature," says Marvin T. Chaney, principal of Fort Lauderdale-based RoboVault LLC.

Chaney's RoboVault Park storage facility is designed to withstand winds of up to 185 mph--the first of its kind that can cope with a Category 5 hurricane, Chaney says. A backup generator will ensure it ...
