Dr. Clinton Bristow, Jr., who served as president of Alcorn State University for the last 11 years, died suddenly while on the university's track field just days before classes were scheduled to start. He was 57.
An autopsy was to be performed at JET press time to determine how Bristow died. An avid runner, he was known to jog each night. A student found him on the track.
