Holy Cross Church in DeWitt began the next chapter in the life of the parish Thursday, dedicating a new church building that is the centerpiece of an $8 million expansion.
Bishop James M. Moynihan had hoped to celebrate the Mass of dedication but is still recovering from his Aug.3 heart surgery, said the Rev. J. Robert Yeazel, pastor of Holy Cross.
