Newly-discovered cuneiform texts are altering existing beliefs regarding the topography of the ancient city of Babylon. Textual material collected over the years regarding Babylon's topography have allowed archaeologists to make an accurate plot of the various city quarters and to pinpoint the location of yet-undiscovered temples and structures. The large volume of documents found has probably resulted in a bias towards the city.
