The headline, "Mother City set to ban dogs from its Table" (September 8), is patently inaccurate.

In 1995 the Mother City ceded all authority over its mountain to the South African National Parks; the City of Cape Town now has no more authority to ban dogs from the mountain than it has to shoot the tahrs.

We'd welcome the release of the scientific research that substantiates the assertion, quoted in your article, that pet dogs ...
