The overwhelming impression I had after looking at the work of over 200 contributors to the latest Havana Biennial is that art is alive and well outside of the marketplace. A team of eight curators sought, as is this show's preview, underrepresented artists to participate in the exhibition, focusing this year on "Dynamics of Urban Culture."
