WHEN you think of Morocco you imagine the bustling markets, vibrant colours and hectic city of Marrakech.

So picture my surprise when I arrived in Agadir - a peaceful, relaxed city with a huge sweeping bay and seven miles of sandy beaches.

Just a three-hour flight from the UK, it boasts 300 days of sunshine and a wealth of top hotels - making it an ideal destination at any time of the year.

On arrival I was greeted by a minibus for a 30-minute trip to the five-star Sofitel Agadir hotel.
