Sep. 9--VICTORVILLE -- After he began disciple training with the High Desert Harvest Church, Jeff Little said he developed a sense of what being an ordained minister must be like.

As part of his training, Little had to create a "life group," or small Bible study-like group that meets weekly for prayer and discussion of faith.

"A couple in the group told me they had this goal and needed more money," he said. "I was promoted to pray for them and they both got raises. This minipastor thing works."
