Successful and effective Christian witness in South Africa depends on the reorientation of theological education and ministerial formation, the most crucial field for equipping the churches to face problems by learning from the mistakes of the past. The need for positive reformatory action in these fields has extremely sound scriptural basis. Church leaders should equip themselves and those they train with the ability to confront issues such as aggression, subjugation, AIDS, unemployment, corruption, divorce, poverty and nuclear war.
