A recent visit to the Chambers Hotel found majority owner Ralph Burnet in a maelstrom of down-to-the-wire work to prepare the downtown boutique hotel for its opening this Sunday. As workers installed furniture and more than 130 paintings and sculptures - some from Burnet's personal collection - he paused by the video art on one of the flat-screen TV monitors that line the hallways on every floor.

"Isn't that cool?" he said, gazing at the images that will play in a continuous loop and also be accessible in the hotel's 60 ...
