This article addresses the role played by Bishop James Morrison (1861-1950), in the formation and implementation of the Antigonish Movement. It offers a revisionist account of the relationship between the bishop and Rev. James J. Tompkins focusing on their generally good relationship and Morrison's supportive role in the social and economic reforms within the Diocese of Antigonish.
