A Du Pont biotechnology research firm is developing a corn variety that will enhance ethanol yield in light of an emerging need to boost sources of renewable energy and in anticipation of the passage of the Biofuels Act.
Pioneer Hi-Bred Philippines Inc. (PHBP) Country Manager Jet G. Parma told a press briefing coinciding with the company's 30th anniversary in the Philippines that the company is embarking on an investment in a research on the enhanced use of corn for fuel.
