Dr. Samuel Behr, one of the most heralded athletes in the late 1920s at the University of Wisconsin, died Wednesday at his home in Rockford, Ill.
He was 96.
Behr was the quarterback for the Badgers in 1928-30 and was also a three-time All-American track and field athlete in the shot put, setting distance marks in the event both indoors and outdoors.
